US-Hungary Economic Summit 2025

In October, the US-Hungary Business Council (USHBC) hosted its third-annual US-Hungary Economic Summit during the council's 10th annual business mission to Budapest.
The Summit kicked off with a plenary session with H.E. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade of Hungary, and István Joó, CEO of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA). Following, the USHBC delegation had the opportunity to attend a lunch roundtable with State Secretary Máté Lóga from the Ministry of National Economy, as well as to participate in a plenary session with State Secretary Dr. Csaba Gondola from the Ministry of Energy.
Throughout the day, delegates also participated in productive business-focused roundtables on Healthcare and Defense. These meetings featured discussions with representatives of the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of National Economy, Ministry of EU Affairs, National Health Insurance Fund, National Centre for Public Health and Pharmacy, Hungary Investment Promotion Agency, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, VEX, & N7 Holdings.
On the final day of the Summit, companies in the delegation had the opportunity to attend bilateral meetings with select government representatives to discuss specific topics in more detail.
